The inspiration behind this post is a very insignificant event or rather observation that I had a few days ago.
It was my compiler design midsem exam and I was going to my college by bike. It wasn’t any different from a usual day and while riding the bike I was thinking about the answers that I had mugged up the night before (like a typical engineer ..:-P). I had to pick a friend of mine on the way, so I turned my bike towards his colony, and to my biggest shock and fright I was faced by a huge pack of around 10-12 dogs occupying the complete breadth of the road and staring at me. Now for the cynophobic I am, I had no idea what to do because there was no way that I could have ridden past through them or avoid them by turning back; otherwise they would have ran behind me and caught my leg anyhow. Not knowing what to do I, completely froze at my place. But to my surprise almost immediately one of them ran towards an adjacent lane and the rest of them followed suite. Relieved as I was, I thanked god, shifted my bike’s gear and carried on towards my friends place. Suddenly I realized that actually none of those dogs were interested in me, it was their mating season and they were actually chasing a bitch that got a chance to escape when I came.
Now my purpose of writing this blog post and giving it such an aggressive heading is neither to brag about my recent encounter with dogs nor to discuss their mating habits.
What stuck my mind was that even animals like dogs have a fixed period of time in the year where they have the urge to mate but, on the other hand we “homo sapiens” considered as the most sensible and intelligent creatures on this planet bestowed with the capability of exercising freedom and control over our sexual potency have been unable to satisfy our desires and lust, and have been found guilty of indulging in the most shameful and inhumane acts of rape and sexual abuse. What I fail to understand is that, if even dogs can have a decency and discipline in the way they go about their life process, what makes humans so insanely mad about SEX that they place it before the basic necessities that qualifies them has humans and this is what makes me wonder and ask WHAT THE FUCK??
By saying this I am not at all trying to comment, criticize or analyze the frequency of consensual sex between two partners but I strictly and completely condemn any insensitive and inhumane act of forced sex, rape or sexual abuse. Let me elaborate this by taking few examples:
1. Rapes of minors
It’s beyond reason to justify the rapes of 4 year old children committed by multiple people to the extent of killing them. Moreover it is impossible to understand what sort of control or pleasure someone could derive out of a child who doesn’t even have a body grown enough to stimulate sexual attraction. And to top it up with gang rapes makes the situation all the more deplorable. What kind of sexual desire is this that doesn’t even spare children so young, who don’t even understand what’s being done to them??How much civilized we really are??
Just to put the facts right, according to the data released by Home Ministry on March 4,2010, child rape case continue to rise as a total of 5,446 cases were registered in 2008 across the country.
Uttar Pradesh has topped the list with the highest number of 900 child rape cases in the year 2008.Madhya Pradesh registered (892) such cases, Maharashtra (690), Rajasthan (420) and Andhra Pradesh (412), Chhattisgarh(411),Delhi(301),Kerala(215),TamilNadu(187),WestBengal(129),Punjab(106)Tripura(104),Gujarat(99),Karnataka(97),Bihar(91),Haryana(70), Himachal Pradesh(68),Orissa(65) and Goa(18)
Don’t these stats invoke this question in your mind-What the Fuck??
2)50-60 year old men marrying minors:
In a most recent incidence four months after a minor girl was forcibly married off to a 57 year-old-widower in Gadwal,another case of a 60-year-old man tying the knot with a 14 year old girl was reported in Mahbubnagar district making a complete mockery of violation of child rights and Hindu Marriage Act of 1955.Ironically the girl was married to the person in presence of his first wife and was also the daughter of this person's first wife's brother.Moreover the groom allegedly paid Rs. 1 Lakh as alimony to the girl's parent before marriage.
What kind of insatiable hunger is this that forces a man 60 years old to even think about having a sexual relationship with a 14 year old girl?
Also to mention various self professed dharma gurus and tantrics who indulge in such activities demeaning not only the religions but also the basic human values.
3) Man rapes bitch
In a shocking revelation, a 35 year-old man, was caught raping a stray-bitch. The police has slapped IPC Section 377 (against the order of nature) on the man and booked him for unnatural sex. Apparently the accused confessed to the crime and stated ‘missing his wife’ as the reason for committing such shameful act.
Instances like these make it hard to differentiate between the human and a dog, and to seriously wonder who is more respectable. Moreover how can one justify “missing wife” to be a reason good enough for such an act.
Just because the god has bestowed the human beings with the capability to exercise our sexual expression according to our will, does that not mean that we have an added responsibility not to misuse it??(Human Beings are among the only few species known who does not have a restriction imposed on their mating season by nature).
This obsession and craziness for sexual desire makes me question and wonder-not in a cliché but in the most literal sense-WHAT THE FUCK??
